Faith Mixed With Disappointment

Reading: John 11:17-27

Devotional: Martha's greeting to Jesus was brutally honest: "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." Yet in the same breath, she affirmed, "But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask." This is faith mixed with disappointment—and it's completely acceptable to God. You don't have to pretend everything is fine. Jesus can handle your questions, your confusion, even your frustration. Martha didn't lose her faith; she brought her honest heart to the only One who could help. Authentic faith doesn't mean having no questions—it means taking those questions to Jesus rather than away from Him. Your doubts don't disqualify you from His presence.
