Day 5: Surrendered, No Matter What

Reading: Job 13:15; Habakkuk 3:17-19

Devotional: "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job's declaration represents the pinnacle of surrendered faith. Not understanding everything but trusting anyway. Not receiving what we want but worshiping still. This is the faith Jesus calls us to—radical surrender regardless of outcomes.

Life in a fallen world means some things break and never get fixed. People get sick and don't recover. Relationships shatter beyond repair. Children wander and don't return. We don't understand why some prayers are answered and others aren't. But surrendered faith says, "Even if You don't, You're still God. You still have my heart. I'm following You no matter what."

This isn't resignation; it's trust. It's believing God is painting on a canvas far larger than we can see. Today, bring your deepest concerns to God. Pray boldly for what you need. But underneath those requests, anchor your heart in this truth: He is Lord, and that will never change, regardless of how He answers.
