Day 2: The Accuser Has No Authority Here
Reading: John 8:1-11
Devotional: The Pharisees brought a woman defined entirely by her worst moment. They called her the woman caught in adultery, stripping her of her name, her dignity, and her future. But Jesus knelt down, refused to be rushed by the accusers, and met her at eye level. When her accusers were gone, He was the only one qualified to condemn her, and He chose not to. He did not pretend her sin was harmless. He told her to leave that life. But He refused to let one devastating moment become her permanent identity. The same Jesus who silenced her accusers silences yours.
Personal Reflection: What label have others placed on you because of your failures? What label have you placed on yourself?
Practical Application: Find a piece of paper and write the label or identity you have accepted because of past sin or failure. Then write across it in large letters: "Neither do I condemn you" (John 8:11). Place it somewhere visible as a daily reminder.
