Day 2: You Are More Than What Others Think

Reading: 1 Peter 2:9

Devotional: Peter describes believers as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and God's very own possession. That is not how the world may describe you. People have labeled you, dismissed you, misunderstood you, and spoken things over your life that were never true. But the opinion that carries the most weight belongs to the One who created you. When God calls you chosen, that verdict overrules every other voice. You were not chosen because of how others see you. You were chosen because of how He sees you. Living from that truth means you no longer need the approval of people to feel secure in who you are.

Reflection: Whose voice has had the most influence over how you see yourself? Does that voice align with what God says about you?

Practical Application: Identify one person whose opinion you have allowed to define you. Pray specifically today, releasing that person's words and replacing them with what Scripture says about your identity.
