Day 1: The Weight of Shame and the God Who Seeks Us

Reading: Genesis 3:1-13

Devotional: Shame entered the world the moment sin did, and its first effect was hiding. Adam and Eve, who once walked freely with God, suddenly ran from the very presence they had always loved. This pattern has repeated in every human heart since. When we fail, our instinct is to conceal ourselves from God and others. But notice that God did not abandon the garden. He came looking. Shame tells you to run. Grace reminds you that God is already walking toward you. Your worst moment does not disqualify you from His presence. It is often the very place He finds you.

Personal Reflection: What failure or shame have you been hiding from God? What would it look like to stop running and let Him find you today?

Practical Application: Write down one thing you have been concealing from God. Then speak it aloud in prayer, surrendering it to Him. Acknowledge that He already knows, and He is still pursuing you.
