Light Has Come Wk4

Dec 28, 2025    Chris Tierce

In a world constantly seeking comfort and peace, this message reminds us that true joy and contentment don't come from our circumstances but from our connection to Christ. Drawing from Philippians 4, we're challenged to examine whether we're truly plugged into God's power—a power that enables us to rejoice even when life doesn't make sense. The beautiful paradox presented here is that Paul, writing from prison, urges believers to rejoice always. This teaches us that our inner attitudes don't have to mirror our outward situations. We're invited to embrace three transformative realities: connecting to God's power, counting on God's provision, and claiming God's promise. The familiar verse 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' takes on deeper meaning when we understand it's not about accomplishing our own ambitions, but about being equipped for whatever God calls us to do. The message culminates with the profound assurance from Philippians 4:19 that 'my God will supply every need according to his riches in glory'—a promise that's personal, positive, pointed, plentiful, and powerful. This isn't about getting everything we want, but about trusting that God knows what we truly need and will always provide it.

We examine Jesus's promises in John 14 about preparing a place for us and being the only way to the Father, offering hope for eternity.
