Light Has Come Wk3

The Christmas story reveals something profound about God's character: He is intimately involved in every detail of our lives. As we journey through Luke 2 and Matthew 2, we discover how God orchestrated seemingly impossible circumstances to fulfill ancient prophecies. Mary and Joseph were in Nazareth, yet prophecy declared the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Enter a Roman census that required them to travel exactly when Mary was about to give birth. This wasn't coincidence; this was divine coordination. The same God who arranged celestial events, guided wise men from the East, and announced the Savior's birth to humble shepherds is the same God working in the details of our lives today. We may feel lost or uncertain about our future, but this narrative reminds us that God's timing is perfect and His plans are sovereign. The shepherds—possibly watching over sacrificial lambs—were the first to hear that the ultimate Sacrificial Lamb had arrived. The wise men, Gentile scholars from far away, followed a prophetic star to worship a toddler King. Both the lowly and the learned, Jews and Gentiles, were drawn to Jesus. This Christmas, we're invited to trust that the God who broke 400 years of silence, who placed a star in the sky, and who became Emmanuel—God with us—is still actively working in every circumstance we face, even when we cannot see the full picture.
