Day 3: Light for All People
Gentile astrologers from the East traveled for months, possibly years, following a star to find the newborn King. They studied ancient prophecies from Numbers 24:17 about a star rising from Jacob and discovered truth that religious leaders in Jerusalem had missed. The first to worship Jesus were foreigners—scholars from distant lands seeking truth.
The Christmas story reveals that Jesus came for everyone: shepherds and scholars, Jews and Gentiles, East and West. The light of Christ draws all who genuinely seek Him, regardless of background or starting point. If you feel distant from God—geographically, culturally, or spiritually—take courage from these wise men. They traveled far, studied diligently, and worshiped humbly. God rewards those who seek Him earnestly. The same light that guided them across deserts and through kingdoms will guide you home. No journey is too far when you're following the Light of the World.
