Day 3: Forged in the Pasture

Reading: 1 Samuel 17:32-37

Devotional: David's confidence before Goliath wasn't born on the battlefield but in the lonely pastures where he protected his father's sheep. When lions and bears attacked, David could have run. No one would have witnessed his cowardice. But in those hidden moments, he chose courage and trusted God. By the time he faced Goliath, his faith had already been tested and proven. God often prepares us in private before promoting us in public. The character we build when no one is watching determines whether we're ready for the opportunities God brings. Your current season of obscurity, your mundane responsibilities, your private struggles—these aren't wasted time. They're your training ground. The faith you exercise today in small, unseen battles prepares you for tomorrow's giant-sized opportunities. Don't despise the pasture; it's where champions are made.

Reflection Question: How is God using your current "pasture season" to prepare you for future assignments?
