Day 5: Living From Your True Identity

Reading: Colossians 3:1-3; Ephesians 2:10

Devotional: Colossians reminds us that our real life is hidden with Christ in God. That means your truest, most permanent self is not found in your career, your relationships, your bank account, or your reputation. Those things are temporary. Paul also declares in Ephesians that you are God's workmanship, His craftsmanship, created for good works He prepared in advance. You are not a mistake wandering through life looking for meaning. You are a purpose-built creation walking toward a God-designed destination. The world will spend enormous energy trying to convince you that you are not enough. God settled that question at the cross. You are enough because He said so.

Reflection: What would your daily life look like if you consistently lived from the identity God has given you rather than the identity the world tries to assign you?

Practical Application: Take a few minutes today to sit quietly before God and ask Him to show you one specific way He wants to work through your unique design this week. Then take one step in that direction.
