Day 3: Citizens of a Greater Kingdom

Reading: Philippians 3:20 and Matthew 5:44

Devotional: Paul writes that our true citizenship is in heaven, where Jesus reigns without opposition, without term limits, and without scandal. Yet so often we live as though this world is permanent and heaven is distant. We invest enormous emotional energy into political identities and earthly allegiances, sometimes more than we invest in reflecting Christ. Jesus commands us to love even our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. That is not a suggestion for the spiritually advanced -- it is a command for every follower. Your politics do not define you. Your King does.

Reflection Question: If someone examined your social media presence or daily conversations, would they identify you first as a follower of Christ or as a member of a political party?

Practical Application: Before engaging with any political content today, pause and ask: does this reflect my citizenship in heaven or my attachment to an earthly side?
