Day 3: Made New in Christ
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20
Devotional: Jesus did not come to improve you. He came to make you entirely new. This is one of the most liberating truths in all of Scripture. The old self, the one shaped by failure, shame, addiction, and the opinions of others, does not simply get a renovation. It is replaced. When you surrender to Christ, you are no longer defined by what you have done or what has been done to you. The cross was not a minor adjustment to your story. It was a complete rewriting of your identity. You are no longer who you were. You are who He says you are.
Reflection: What part of your past have you allowed to continue defining you, even after coming to Christ? What would it look like to fully release that to Him?
Practical Application: Write out 2 Corinthians 5:17 on a notecard and place it somewhere you will see it each morning this week as a daily reminder of who you are in Christ.
