Day 1: The Power of Your Tongue

Devotional: James doesn't mince words when he describes the tongue as "a flame of fire" that can set your whole life ablaze. Your words carry the power of life and death. Think about the last conversation you had with someone you love. Did your words build them up or tear them down? The tongue reveals what's truly in our hearts. When we struggle with harsh words, critical speech, or gossip, we're not facing a mouth problem—we're facing a heart problem. Today, ask God to show you what's really driving your speech. Are you harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or anger? Confess these heart issues to Him and ask for His healing touch. Remember, you can't produce sweet water from a bitter spring.
