Day 2: Remaining Connected to the Vine

Reading: John 15:1-8

Devotional: A branch never strains to produce fruit—it simply stays connected to the vine. Your spiritual growth isn't about trying harder; it's about staying closer to Jesus. The pressure to perform, to fix yourself, to measure up can be overwhelming. But Jesus offers a different way: remain in Him. When you focus on the relationship rather than the results, fruit naturally comes. Your job isn't to manufacture patience, peace, or self-control through sheer willpower. Your job is to abide in Christ through prayer, worship, Scripture, and surrender. As you stay connected, He produces what you cannot. Stop straining. Start remaining. The vine does the work; the branch simply stays attached. What would it look like today to focus less on your failures and more on your connection to Jesus?
