Day 5: Living Unoffended

Reading: Luke 23:32-34

Devotional: At the cross, Jesus demonstrated the ultimate act of forgiveness. Betrayed, abandoned, mocked, and crucified, He chose forgiveness over bitterness. "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing." This is our model. You cannot follow a forgiving Savior while holding an unforgiving heart. The world watches how Christians handle offense, betrayal, and hurt. Our forgiveness should be on another level—not because we're better, but because we're divinely powered. Forgiveness is supernatural; it's not in our nature to forgive freely. But when Christ lives in us, we have access to His power. Today, choose to be unoffendable. Not naive or unwise, but free. Free from the prison of bitterness. Free to reflect Christ to a watching world. Freedom or offense—you can't hold both. Which will you choose?
