Day 5: Peace Through Full Surrender
Reading: Psalm 86:11
Devotional: David's prayer reveals the path to peace: "Put me together, one heart and mind, so undivided I'll worship in joyful fear." Notice he asks God to do this work—it's not self-manufactured. An undivided heart is God's gift to those who fully surrender. This doesn't mean life becomes easy or that battles cease. Rather, it means you can have peace in the midst of chaos when your whole heart belongs to Him. God won't fully bless what remains partially surrendered. Half surrender produces whole frustration, but full surrender produces supernatural peace. Today, take yourself off the throne. Dethrone whatever controls you—ambition, fear, comfort, approval. God desires your undivided attention not to restrict you but to free you. Freedom comes through decisions we make daily: "You have my heart, my affection, my surrender today." Peace comes when competing loyalties end.
Reflection: What needs to be dethroned from your heart today so God can have His rightful place?
