Day 3: The Poison That Spreads

Reading: Hebrews 12:14-15

Devotional: Bitterness doesn't stay contained. Like a root system underground, it spreads invisibly until suddenly it breaks through the surface, corrupting everything around it. This passage warns us to "watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many." Notice it doesn't just affect you—it corrupts many. Your children inherit it. Your friendships absorb it. Your workplace feels it. You cannot compartmentalize a bitter heart. What grows underground eventually shows up above ground. Today, ask yourself: who around me is being affected by the wounds I haven't surrendered? The good news is that roots can be pulled up. God's grace is powerful enough to dig deep and remove what's poisoning your life and relationships.
