Take Your Position and Watch God Work
Reading: 2 Chronicles 20:13-19
Devotional: "Take your position, stand still, and watch the Lord's victory." What an unusual battle strategy! God doesn't always call us to fight; sometimes He calls us to faithfully show up and watch Him work. Taking your position means doing what you can practically—applying for the job, having the difficult conversation, taking the next right step—while trusting God with the outcome you cannot control. Notice God didn't remove the enemy before the Israelites had to face them. He required them to march out, to take their stand. Faith isn't passive; it's active trust. You may need to get up tomorrow and face what terrifies you, but you don't face it alone. God's instruction remains: show up, stand firm, and watch what I will do. Your responsibility is obedience; God's responsibility is the outcome. Today, what position is God calling you to take?
