📢 VOLUNTEERS & TRUNK HOSTS – TRUNK OR TREAT DETAILS 🎃🍬
Hey team! Thank you so much for stepping up to make our Trunk or Treat a safe, fun, and welcoming event for the community on Saturday, October 24th!
Here is all the essential information you need for the event:
🕒 Event Schedule
3:30/4:00 PM – Arrival & Setup: All volunteers and trunk hosts arrive. Trunk hosts will be routed to designated spots based on power and setup needs.
4:30 PM – Fully Ready & Briefing: All trunks decorated, games operational, and security/food teams prepped for a quick prayer and safety briefing.
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Event Open to Families
7:00 PM – 7:45 PM – Cleanup & Tear Down: All hands on deck to pack up decorations, clear trash, and restore the parking lot.
🤝 Trunk Sharing & Volunteer Coverage
Want to decorate a trunk, but also walk around with your kids? No problem! Indicate on the signup form that you need trunk coverage, and we will pair you with a helper volunteer so you can enjoy the event with your family.
Want to hand out candy at a trunk, but don't want to build/decorate one? We need you! Select "Volunteer to Man a Trunk" on the form, and we'll match you up with a decorated vehicle.
📋 Guidelines & Expectations
Theme & Costumes: Keep all costumes and vehicle themes family-friendly, positive, and non-scary (no gore, violence, or dark themes).
Candy & Treats: Bring enough candy for about 150–200 children if hosting a trunk. We will have extra candy stock available at the main check-in station if you run low!
Safety & Vehicles: For the safety of walking children, no vehicles may be moved or driven out of the event lot between 4:45 PM and 7:15 PM.
Food & Security Teams: Check in with your team leader at 3:30 PM for specific station assignments and gear (radios, vests, or serving supplies).
