Day 2: Grace and Truth in Perfect Balance

Reading: John 1:14-18, John 8:1-11

Devotional: Jesus came "full of grace and truth"—never sacrificing one for the other. Consider the woman caught in adultery: Jesus protected her from condemnation (grace) while calling her to transformation (truth). He didn't say, "Your sin is fine," nor did He shame her into the ground. This is our model. We've swung to extremes—either harsh judgment without mercy or acceptance without accountability. But biblical love requires both. Grace without truth is meaningless; truth without grace is just mean. Today, examine your relationships. Are you known more for what you're against or what you're for? Can you love someone deeply while acknowledging they're living outside God's will? This isn't easy, but it's essential. Compassion without compromise—that's the radical middle where Jesus lived.
