Day 1: The Foundation of True Love

Reading: 1 John 4:7-12, Matthew 22:36-40

Devotional: God's love is not a suggestion—it's the foundation of everything. When Jesus simplified 613 laws into two commands, He revealed that authentic faith flows from love: loving God completely and loving others genuinely. But here's the challenge: we live in a world that has twisted love's meaning. Some of us carry wounds from perverted versions of love. Today, return to the Source. God IS love—not just loving, but love itself. His essence defines what real love looks like. As you reflect, ask yourself: Am I drawing my understanding of love from God's character or from broken human examples? Let His perfect love recalibrate your heart. When we love from this wellspring, we show a watching world who God truly is.
